GIMSIWOL
COMPANYCOMPANY INTRODUCTION
Gim Si Wol, seaweed laver raised in the clean Shinan tidal-flat sea
Brothers Fisheries Co., Ltd. is a seaweed laver and dried seaweed laver processing company founded in 1983, with its corporate philosophy of honesty and trust.
The Sinan Sea area in Jeollanam-do, where the seaweed laver farm is located, is designated as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. It is a clean sea consisted of tidal flats containing various minerals. In addition, the difference between the tides is big, making it an ideal location for producing delicious seaweed laver. And with over 40 years of experience in developing professional methods for product management, we take care of everything from culturing seaweed laver seed to dry seaweed laver processing. In particular, from the selection of high quality raw materials to the final processing phase, we provide high quality seaweed laver based on our long know-how to produce the best seaweed laver.
Our products are certified USDA Organic by USDA in 2012, which can only be obtained by passing a challenging test procedure, increasing the reliability of our products. We put more effort and care into the taste and aroma of seaweed laver in an eco-friendly way, including spending twice more time to dry the seaweed in the sun than other competitors, making it possible for us to be committed to safe and delicious food.
Launching a brand called Kim Si Wol, Brothers Fisheries will endeavor to provide the best quality and value to overseas partners, which has already been recognized by our domestic partners, through new overseas distribution channels.
Farm at Jido-eup, Sinan-gun, Jeollanam-do
Sinan is the most recognized seaweed laver farm among experts for its taste; in particular, seaweed laver from Jido-eup and Imja-myeon is known to be most delicious. Since there are only a few places where seaweed laver is grown in the tidal-flat sea, it has high scarcity.
The seaweed laver of Brothers Fisheries spends more than twice the time drying under the sun compared to seaweed laver produced elsewhere, which makes it much harder and time-consuming to grow seaweed laver but provides excellent taste and aroma as well. In addition, we do not use acid at all because it is dried by natural wind and sunlight.
